make, give

This little quilt is intended to be an isolette cover to keep the light out of little baby eyes in the hospital.

What I love about it:
1. The Mary Engelbreit Fairy Tale fabric. She is my second favorite illustrator, Jan Brett is my first. An aside: I read Fairy Tales to my first-graders at the beginning of the school year because I've learned that, sadly, some kids have never heard them.
2. Disappearing Nine-Patch, what a fun pattern. I fussy cut my fairy tale squares.

What I would change:
1. The black border. I am trying to use my stash as much as possible, but I would have preferred a green or blue print.
2. A darker backing/ binding. This would work better to keep the light out.
