make, give

This ended up being my Friday night project.  Some hand-quilting on my little Hazel Ilene.  So close to being finished.
I LOVE making pillowcases.  This one is for my aunt who was supposed to travel to Vegas with us next week, but is instead having very serious surgery.  I'm entering it in Ladybird Lane's Pillow Fight.  What a sweet project- please check it out.
Speaking of Vegas, on the way home we're driving historic Route 66.  I found my dad a really good travel guide for Father's Day, but would love to hear from people that have been there.  (It's hard not to say got their kicks, since I plan on saying it SO many times during the trip)

Hand quilting makes every quilt a little more special.

Your diary quilt along is looking great with your hand quilting. Mine and my mom's is finally getting quilted by me. I am mostly doing machine quilting with golden threads paper. I always like to do a touch of handquilting too, so I am selecting those areas separately.
