Dear Sweet Friends that keep trying to fix me up on dates,
Thank you for thinking of me and showing such concern. I know your care comes from a good place, but...
I've had a boyfriend since I was 15 years old. I dated a lot of boys- some I really liked, some I really didn't. A couple were very nice, several weren't. Often I dated them just so I didn't sit home on the weekends. I stayed in an unhappy marriage for ten years.
Now... I've been happily independent for almost eight years. Colton and I have settled into a wonderful routine and we are quite set in our ways. We get up when we want, eat when and what we want, vacation when, where and as often as we want. We pretty much have it made.
I appreciate my friends that worry about me. If God has a different plan for my life, I can't imagine it being any better than what I have now.
I promise I'm content and very blessed.
Love,
Susanne

Happy is good. My favorite response to people asking "What do you want to be when you grow up?" is HAPPY! If you have found that, perfect.
Besides, if Mr Right is out there, he will be looking for a confident, stable, happy woman who doesn't need him but might, if he is VERY LUCKY, decide she wants him. If you were desperate or forlorn, he wouldn't want you if he did see you.
Being happy where you are is such a good thing.
