Disclaimer: I am against decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving.  All holidays deserve their fair share of attention and celebrating.  But...
The Paramount Arts Center hosts a Festival of Trees and Trains each year.  Schools are invited to decorate Christmas trees, which are then auctioned off.  My class opts to buy their tree back.  The theme this year is Holly Jolly Christmas or a Christmas carol of your choice.  I chose the tear-jerker Pretty Paper. Each of my students made a heart-shaped ornament and several brought small boxes to wrap.  I found denim blue ornaments and candy canes.  Colton and I delivered it Sunday afternoon.  We will visit several times over the festival- even a field trip next Tuesday!

November 2013 Gratitude

Day 19: I'm thankful for my teacher friends at school.  We have a lot of fun together.

Sounds like a wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit with lots of pic opportunities.
Enjoy,

Love this! I too don't like starting Christmas really early, but I must admit I love the decorations.
