Made the usual Saturday rounds today...
Library- three books, two DVDs. We have 15-20 minutes before lunch each day. Perfect for one episode of Martha Speaks, Word Girl or Electric Company.
Goodwill- my mom and I try to declutter one thing a day as suggested by 365 Less Things. Every couple weeks I've collected a bag of stuff to donate.
Walmart- (sometimes Kroger) They weren't very busy today. Our weather is beautiful and there are no impending snowstorms. While leaving, I couldn't remember where I'd parked so I meandered down the wrong row of parked cars. After making a sharp turn toward the correct row :) my buggy wheels stopped turning. The cap from a bottled drink had stuck on a wheel. After a little work, I was going to try to lift the front end and maneuver to my car.
Little did I know...a man sitting about four feet away with his car window down had watched the whole silly scene. Kind of embarrassing, but he got out and removed the cap. I went merrily on my way.
The moral of the story? I've heard many rumors of horrible things that happen in Walmart parking lots, but all people sitting in their cars aren't bad.
March 8, 2013 Slice This was so fun! We'll have to try it again, soon.

You know what I love about this piece... Those little specifics that make it uniquely yours, from the titles of the DVDs you rented, the name of the stores you visited to the little word "buggy" that is never used where I'm from. When we try to teach voice, those small details can really make an impact!
My girls used to watch electric company when they were little. They loved that show. I love your Goodwill idea, seems to make it all do able. I seem to always go in there and come out with an armload of books!
What I nice perspective. So often, we look at the negative side. A bottle cap under your buggy wheel could have become an upsetting obstacle. Then being helped by someone could have become an embarrassing situation. Way to keep looking on the bright side.
Good idea on the 365 challenge!
Oh some of those car parks are so big! Dh and me forgot where we'd parked our car once when in a strange large car park. Then while searching I lost him too. I was panicking and giggling the same time. Good luck with the decluttering! Great idea to do one thing a day. Thanks for your visit to me:) and your lovely comment. Ellyx
I have to park in the same area no matter where I go because I can't remember where my car is, totally related to that feeling. It's great that the man helped you.
Love your decluttering suggestion. I could definitely use that around here.
I have a little car in what seems to be a city inhabited by big trucks or SUVs. Finding that car in big parking lots is almost impossible!
