Pinky swear- I haven't looked at Part Two yet...Outside, looking around
So glad to be home! We had 2 flight vouchers to use up, so we took a super fun, spur-of-the-moment Disney/beach trip. While we were gone, it rained and rained. Two funnel clouds touched down locally. Our little neighborhood is safe and sound though. Our pumpkins are growing rounder and my mallows are blooming! Purple/pink! My favorite! Puddles everywhere. My gravel bed needs weeding. But, so thankful to be home sweet home.

Off to peek at Part Two...
Rewriting from different points of view. Lost six-year old child. Hopefully, would see our home as a safe place to knock on the door and ask for help. There are still several people missing from the flooding, so this seems a little too real this evening.
Satisfied housecat. He would be thankful his family is finally home. Someone to visit with, not just a friend stopping by to feed him.
Teenager found out his parents are divorcing. Nothing would feel real, everything upended. It's always a horrible time to hear this news, but the day you return from vacation. The rainy weather fits perfectly.

Wow. What a great way to practice perspective.

Sounds like you had a great trip. As fun as the trips are, it's always nice to come home.
