make

Thursday was our last day of school!
Friday we worked in our rooms. Lots of decluttering.
Lunch out with friends.
Track practice.
Came home and finished this:
King's Hiway from The Quiltmaker's Gift.
While sewing on the binding
broke a needle, bent a needle, the thread started shredding
had to walk away from it.
 broke another one,
then finally put a needle in that worked perfectly!

Happy end of the school year! I am on my second year retired, but I still remember the feeling of this time of year - exhausted and exhilarated! Your finished quilt looks great - I like the way the nine patches and sashing make a chain, giving it lots of movement!

A really charming finish, despite the broken needles, some kind of record probably. Have a fun week!.
