Thank you for the kind words about my little shamrock. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The Finding of Jasper Holt (Hill, GL, 1915)

A classic story of boy meets girl, girl's family doesn't think he's good enough, girl continues to see the good in him, and the rest. . . you'll have to read for yourself.
At one stop on the way to the Harrington's house, Jean and Holt had leftover cornbread and pork, then ham and eggs for breakfast.

A gentle reminder from Proverbs 11:25 NIV
A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.

My little first-graders and I have been practicing this proverb by "passing smiles around" the school. As we walk down the hall in line, we all smile at the people we pass. If you've never had 20 six-year olds smile at you at the same time, you don't know what you're missing.

being smiled at by 20 6-year-olds at once sounds like a memorable warm-and-fuzzy!
