All done!
Just in time for the last Saturday of scrappy orange sewing.
This was displayed in my classroom this week. My little sweetie-pies notice EVERYTHING- any little change, so there were lots of cute compliments.I started hand-quilting in the center with a button, then went around and around with 3-inch spaced-apart lines, kind of squares. Next time, I'd probably put a skinny, black sashing around each block.
We've enjoyed apple slices dipped in caramel several evenings this week. Super yum and fall*ish. This morning, I adapted a Christmas punch recipe from Taste of Home magazine. It was pretty sweet, but perfect with a sausage biscuit.
Put about 3 cups apple juice and 1/4 cup of cinnamon Red Hots in your crockpot. Crank it up to medium, which is 3 on mine. Stir every 10 minutes or so, because the candy will stick to the bottom before it dissolves. I drank a mugful (Fiesta, of course) after 30 minutes, then another one a couple hours later. Sooo good. I'll share the original recipe in December, also super yum.
