Made this in 20 minutes after school-
Beef Macaroni Soup
(adapted from Quick Cooking Annual Recipes 2008, pg 85)
Cut one little sirloin steak up in 3/4" chunks. Brown in a little oil in a pan. Sprinkle with pepper.
Cut up one carrot and a little bit of onion. Add to pan.
Put one can of beef broth and a little Worcestershire sauce in another pan. Bring to boil. (Next time, I'll use low sodium broth and the same pan)
Add the steak and veggies to the broth. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Stir in 1/2 cup uncooked elbow macaroni. Simmer for 10 more minutes. (Next time, a little longer)
In the last 5 minutes, add a handful of frozen peas.
Wonderful with crackers and a Diet Coke.
Totally adding this to the bi-weekly dinner rotation.
March 10, 2013 Slice Think I'll pull that out and wear it tomorrow!
Happy Birthday Mom!
