Two silly conversations that happened in class today:

K:  Ms. Leach, I'm making fake phones out of rocks and selling them in my yard on Saturday.  The pear-shaped ones are free.  The rectangle shaped ones are $100.  You should come buy one.  I know you know where I live.  (He lives in my neighborhood)

B:  Ms. Leach, Do you know how to do a split?
me: no.  *thinking- do I look like I know how to do a split?*
B:  I mean up in the air.  It's called a toe touch.
me: no.
B:  Well, if you do you could be in my dance routine.

And one recent conversation at home, as we were drifting off to sleep:

Colton: Sometimes, I think you're the best mom in the world.
me: Aww, wait...what do you think the other times?
Colton: That you're kind of bothersome.
me: giggle

March 11, 2013 Slice Planning to use this format tomorrow.  It's gonna be a long day.  Come back soon!

This makes me think of a conversation I overheard the other day. It went like this:

Student: It sure is cold outside.
Teacher: Yes, it is. This winter just keeps holding on.
Student: Yes. I think Christmas is taking its revenge!

It made us all giggle.

I liked to read these stories. They were a pleasant diversion!

Ha, a mix of stories and after each one I laughed a little. It's funny what kids will say. Now go work on that split or toe touch thing, sounds like you've got a gig!
