I've wanted to make a Summer Squares quilt for a long time.
and
recently bought a little fat quarter bundle.  I don't care for medieval stuff, but this was pretty cute.  Maybe it could be used for a fairy tale unit at school?
I came across this request at Margaret's Hope Chest and figured there might be a boy (or girl, who knows?) that would love a castle/ dragon inspired quilt.  Made these six blocks Sunday evening:
The gray is a castle with ivy.  I have a lighter gray that looks like concrete in my stash and will probably pop a little orange, blue and black polka dot.  The deadline is July 25 if you have time to whip up a kid's quilt.
