slice

Yesterday I woke up at 4:00 for school.
Today I slept until 5:50 when the call came for a snow day!

Yesterday I rushed around getting ready.
Today I fried bacon and French toast and ate in my jammies slowly.

Yesterday I read with 20 kids (five were absent)
Today I read by myself slowly.

Yesterday my friends and I talked face-to-face and laughed.
Today we texted and laughed.

Yesterday I folded laundry.
Today I folded laundry.

Very clever see saw piece! You capture the essence of a snow day... including the laundry!

This is really cute. And, this is a snow day we relate to!

So fun! We recently had a BIG snow in Seattle which I missed due to my trip to Italy. When it started snowing on Thursday morning, I told my daughter, "It's so pretty."
And her reply was, "Clearly you weren't here." Your snow day sounds perfect.

I like this format so much! Borrowing it for next week when my spring break is over and I will be back at work!

Snow day fun is always a sharp contrast for everyday life. I just told Elisabeth that I really like the structure of this slice so I may share it at my blog.
