make

When a girl finishes a red, white and blue picnic quilt, it calls for a picnic!  So we made brownies, impatiently waited for them to cool and stopped at McDonalds.  We are blessed to live within 25 minutes of three, count 'em 3 State Parks.  Our favorite is Carter Caves.  We go there for first-grade caving field trips, rent cabins for 40th birthday parties and just to...
put our toesies in the creek.
There was also rock throwing, splashing, climbing and exploring.  A great July Friday.

When we got home, I made a mock-up of my Memorial Day parade float for next summer.  This year, we rode on a trailer and threw bead necklaces and candy.  Next year, I'll probably add some red geraniums and our candy bucket.  Maybe a bunting on the other side?
Go see what everybody's been up to this week at Ladybird Ln
